The Doctor is a minor character in the sitcom Bottom. He is played by comedian and satirist John Wells. In "'s Up" he enters Mr Harrison's shop to buy some champagne for his daughter's birthday. Richie makes things difficult for him when he demands proof of age, despite him being 54.
