The Bum Notes were a short-lived jazz ensemble in the 1990s featuring Bottom actor Adrian Edmondson. They performed the opening and closing theme tunes for the show, as well as the bridge instrumentals for each episode. The opening tune was a cover of "B.B's Blues" by American blues/jazz singer B.B. King, and the closing tune was a cover of "Last Night" by the Mar-Keys. Unverified sources suggest that the other members were comedian Charlie Higston (The Fast Show), and Simon Brent and Rowland Rivron (Raw Sex).
